The 2006 Karen Campaign for the Legal Profession in NSW
The Challenge

The goal is to raise $500,000 to increase research staff and speed up the research.

Last year’s winners of the Karen Campaign – Kells the Lawyers, Sparke Helmore, and Baker & McKenzie – extend the challenge to other law firms to participate in the Karen Campaign in 2006 to raise funds for ovarian cancer research. All three firms are joining the fundraising effort and hope others in the legal profession will also support the quest to find an effective diagnostic test for ovarian cancer.

Karen Campaign

Congratulations to the winners of the 2006 Karen Campaign!

The Winner of the Karen Campaign for 2006 was announced at our Dinner to Celebrate 20 years of the Gynaecological Cancer Centre.

Our congratulations to Baker & Mc Kenzie who raised over $35,000.00.  GO Fund was also most appreciative of the efforts of Kells the Lawyers, with Chris Turrisi and team organising a superb luncheon in Wollongong and Michael Rosenfeld of Sparke Helmore an in house, informative/current affairs type video interview.

There were whispers of a challenge being laid down by Kells and a reported offer of $1000.00 changing hands for the winning prize, which was a beautiful Rain’ Vase from Jasper Conran at Waterford Crystal Collection, generously donated by Waterford , Wedgwood.

Their competitive spirit was fabulous and, from what I hear, it is going to be a very challenging 2007. Hopefully with a bigger pool of competition this year!
