Aleco
Vrisakis
Chairman
Aleco is a successful commercial lawyer, formerly a partner of leading law firm, Blake Dawson Waldron, and now a consultant to it. Aleco was, for many years, on the faculty of the Law School at Sydney University as a part-time lecturer. He has also held a number of public offices, including the committee that introduced the Australian consumer credit laws, the committee that advised the Government on the introduction of the Commonwealth companies legislation and he was a foundation member of the Corporations and Securities Advisory Committee.

Catherine Menage Vallance
is a publisher, translator, writer and consultant with a special interest in writing and publishing educational and training materials, especially English as a second language. She has worked in many parts of the world in teaching and educational publishing. She has served on the board of Editions de l'Ocean Indien in Mauritius, and is currently on the board of Charles O'Neill House in Sydney. |
Prof
Neville Hacker
MD,
FRANZCOG, FRCOG, FACOG, FACS, CGO
is Director of the Gynaecological Cancer Centre at the Royal Hospital for Women. He is a noted international authority and a Past President of the International Gynaecologic Cancer Society. As an expert in clinical research, he is the medical adviser to the Committee, ensuring that basic research is directed towards clinically relevant issues. |
Dr.
Cornelia Hentzsch
PhD, BPharm, FAICD,
was born in Berlin, West Germany. She started working in the
Pharmaceutical Industry in 1986 and came to Australia in 1989
because of her Australian husband.
Cornelia is the Managing Director of the major International
Pharmaceutical Company, Mundipharma Pty. Ltd. which specialises
in pain management. The company was established in 1998 here and
Mundipharma NZ in 2005.
Cornelia is a Member of the Boards of both countries and a
Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She
is very committed to supporting clinical research. |
Sylvia
Emmett
was a member of the RWH Advisory Council which provided advice to the government on relevant women's issues pertaining to the rebuilding of the RWH at its new Randwick campus, including recommending for the establishment of a hospital foundation to address the fundraising needs of the new RWH. She then became a founding member with Professor Hacker and others in establishing the GO Fund in 1995. Sylvia is also a member of the Jessie Street Trust and has served on the board of governors of Winifred West Schools Limited, the national board of LEADR as well as various committees of the NSW Bar Association. |
Carmen
Duncan
became the
Fundraising Manager in May 2006 after a lifetime of being in the
public arena as an actor. Her
credentials, apart from her International success in theatre, TV
and on screen include a BA from UNSW, several years as Treasurer
for Actors Equity, Production, Direction and Writing credits and
several years of varying charity work.
She is currently an Ambassador for the Breast Care Centre
at the
Royal
Hospital
for Women
