Girls Night Out in Mittagong

Following on from their success in Sydney in 2003, the SisterLink girls have taken Mittagong by storm and shown the locals how to have a great Girls Night Out.

With a team of helpers - boyfriends and husbands included - the Pearson girls, Kerry, Kate, Megan, Jo, and Jane organised hundreds of prizes and many fun games to make the night at the Mittagong RSL a success. Even their mother chipped in to help.

This was a night for girls to socialise and have fun, while gaining knowledge which could save their lives. As they sat around the tables, swapping perfumes and makeup, they also learnt about the GO Fund and gynaecological cancer. Joanne Pearson, NUM Oncology Care, Bowral Day Surgery , presented real patient stories and the kind of symptoms which women should look for.

The all female band, The Housework Can Wait (left), entertained the guests throughout the evening, changing into different outfits for each segment.

People Bingo had everyone up and looking for anyone who drives a red car, likes spicy food or does not play netball. Or who has 4 children or more? The Balloon Frenzy was just that! But the rewards were great. For those who missed out on one of the raffle prizes, there were many silent auction items to bid on, or maybe you could just clip the last person who tried the Kahlua Roll.

Next time you hear the SisterLink sisters are in town, don't miss out. It's a really fun night and at the same time, they raise valuable dollars for the GO Fund's research. This night in April raised $6,248.

Thank you to the wonderful SisterLink team!
